““Over” reminds us of “game over”: The game is finished. The object ironizes the significance our society attaches to competitive thinking and performance pressure. At the same time, I see this work as making a statement against hierarchies and competitive thinking. It is possible to view things in different ways: What is at the top can be at the very bottom. A change of perspective widens the point of view.”
Nancăs works were shown i.a. numerous single exhibitions: Die 70er-Show, Boccanera Gallery, Trento; Garten der Maria, Sabot Gallery, Cluj-Napoca; Der Weg, curated by Liviana Dan, Gallery of contemporary art, Brukenthal Museum, Sibiu; Traum von Bukarest, curated by Jean-Baptiste Joly, Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart
