The artist, curator and lecturer Tadej Pogačar was a founder member and director (1993-2012) of the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Museum of Contemporary Art, Ljubljana, Slovenia. His works are based on the idea of actionism and also often involve participation; they draw attention to shortcomings in our society in a humorous but absolutely socially critical manner.
Tadej Pogačar draws on a simple means of estrangement: He rotates the pictures which had been taken in Slovenia by 180˚. The towers of a measuring plant hang from a snow-covered mountain top like stalactites over a bright blue area which is now not necessarily recognizable as sky. Using a playful trick he has turned the situation upside down.
